1-866-203-6890 — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. There is no phone tree and no answering machine. If the line is busy during a regional freeze event, keep trying: we triage by severity, not by call order.

Hours

Dispatch: 24/7, including holidays. Non-emergency scheduling calls are easiest to place between 7am and 7pm Pacific, when more contractors are reachable for booking. Emergencies are taken at any hour.

What to have ready when you call

Having these four things to hand typically saves ten to fifteen minutes and gets a more accurate arrival window:

• Your address, plus a landmark or mile marker for rural and canyon addresses
• What the water is doing right now: no water, slow drain, active leak, sewage backing up
• Roughly when the house was built, and whether you are on city water or a well
• Whether you know where your main shut-off is

If water is running right now

Shut off the main before you do anything else, then open the lowest faucet in the house to drain the pressure out of the system. If water is anywhere near electrical outlets or a panel, kill power to that area at the breaker. Do not put a torch or open flame on a frozen pipe. Then call, and we will stay on the line with you.

What we are, plainly

Oregon Plumbing Dispatch is a referral service. We answer the phone, work out what you actually need, and route the job to an independent licensed plumbing contractor who covers your area and does that kind of work. The contractor quotes you, schedules you and performs the work; they set their own prices and are responsible for their own workmanship. We do not perform plumbing work ourselves and we do not add a markup to your invoice.
